This book presents environmental economics in a real way. All of the theory is there, but in every case the authors always ground the theory in actual policy decisions. They also really stress the importance of defining policy goals, so as to get the right policies. The chapter on global warming at the end of the book is the best concise summary/explanation of the issues and policy choices I have read.Anyone who wants to get a better understanding of environmental economic issues will be well-served by reading this book. Some of the material is hard, but the authors always point that out, and explain WHY it's hard. I thought that was a nice touch.
