interesting and informative

This book is filled with black and white photos (almost every page) of farm building, homes, barns of the English countryside. There are several color photos as well. Mostly it outlines building materials and methods of construction. It might sound dry, but it is very interesting, showing the history of rural architecture. Some history of English agriculture is also included. If you want to learn more about the English countryside and the cottages and farmhouses you won't be disappointed.
