England, A Great County

Although I only read Lonely Planets and Rick Steves, I do like the Cadogan series. I read for the most part this book. The only real drawback is there are only pictures in the front,maps starting each chapter. I liked all the information. I have the France and Italy book which I will get around to reading. The difference between these books already? The latter two have more maps and more illustrations. I love all the aforementioned countries. I mean England at one time did rule half the world making a great country. France and Italy are great in their own right.The author put forth a lot of great information and ideas for a trip If you like to read and get solid information, this book is recommended. However if you like pictures to go along with your reading, this book would not fit that bill. Better to get the Eyewitness series.
