OK book

This book explains the concepts very carefully. However, it jumps topic to topic without a smooth trancision. Examples are very elementary, but the problems at the end of each chapter gets tedious quickly. Prefer if the hard problems are approached with more examples. Biggest down fall I see is that there are no answers at the back for any problems.

Great book

This is really a great book in a hard to grasp subject. It is easy to follow ,has a lot of excellent sample problems and examples ,student-friendly and it is ideal for selfstudy.

Awesome!

The book uses good explanations, clear examples, real world situations, and good homework problems. I had one of the worst teachers on earth for engineering dynamics, and this book was the only way that I got through the class.

Very solid and important text

Very few books provide a solid material like this one (Beer & Johnston's is an excellent one too). In fact I have become interested in mechanics after I was Introduced to this text for the 1st time in 1984. Recently, I started to collect and work all the editions of this book. This text requires a very skilful instructor that can present the material in it in way worthy of this text. please do not hate this text if you really want unsurpass knowledge in mechanics, because there are many "engineering mechanics" texts around you that teach nothing.

The best book

Simply the best. I really love Prof. Meriam's Books (Both Statics and Dynamics) since 1985!
