Southwest Indians in a century of photos

This masterpiece is on a century of photography of Southwest Indians by M K Keegan. She put side by side the vintage photo of the past with her prints. It is a beautiful collection on the regional Native Americans. It is a good comparison and contrast, old and new, traditional and modern. Natives enjoy their tradition, culture and custom. She includes the master photographers of the last century. Of interest she includes page comment on each pair phots. Photo 13 shows a Hopi girl in squash blossom hair style, the same hair style as western China of Sichuen, the Primitive style of hairdressing. It is an enjoyable book to appreciate Native Americans who endured Manifest Destiny and the phoenix come back strong. This coffee table size book will certainly be impressive and the reader may leave their heart with the people.
