Great Overview of Employee Benefits fo the HR Practitioner

I have used this textbook for several years in a Graduate HR class that I teach. It is comprehensive and provides an excellent overview of employee benefits for the HR professional. Unlike other lengthy (i.e. in excess of 600 pages) texts, this is easily used to supplement or serve as a benefits "portion" of a class. The supplemental materials for instructors are excellent as well. So, why didn't it get 5 stars? THE PRICE. I agree that it is quite expensive.

A well-written textbook

This book was the text for an employee benefits class in the human resources management certificate program at U.C. Berkeley Extension. I found it comprehensive and detailed, yet easier to read than most textbooks. One negative comment I have is that the price seems very high given the relative small size of the book (9" x 7.25" x only .5" thick). But the book is on point and informative, which is more than I can say for a lot of texts!
