Proctologic emergencies are a frequent cause of consultation in Emergency Departments. For patients this type of problem involves, in addition to the symptoms themselves, in many cases embarrassment and shame, which may result in a late consultation in relation to the onset of the clinical picture.It is a challenge for the emergency physician to be able to clearly determine the diagnosis and appropriate treatment, as well as the need for hospitalization or to indicate the consultation of a specialist.
