Focus on trial tests

I bought this book because I was due to take the police dispatcher testing. I actually took this test today, and the majority of it was being able to follow directions to detail. This book did help me as far as learing what types of questions to expect as well as teaching me to eliminate answers. The vocabulary part of this book was not mentioned in my test, nor were definations. Most questions were scenerio based. I feel I was better prepared because of this book, although the books tests give you approx. 3 hours to do, and the actual test I took was based on the same amount of questions in 1 1/2 hours. The book tells you to skim, read and re-read. Dont do this on the actual test unless you have ample time to finish. I did not finish my test today because of using that method. Focus on the scenerio based part of the book. It will help you with common sense questions as well as give you detailed answers to every question so you can see why the answer it lists is the best choice. Over all, this book is a good choice to jump start the learning process of dispatching and show you the types of testing that depts use. You will definately have a better understanding on what to expect during test day, which means less stress and more concentration.

Very Helpful Book!!!

I was trying to find a book that would help me with an upcoming Dispatcher/911 Operator Exam and did I find the right book!!! It was very close to the exam that I had taken. It contains very helpful information and gives great example questions. I highly recommend this book!!!

Great Prep Book!

If you are looking for a book to help yourself prepare for a written exam for a dispatcher position, this is the book for you! I have taken a test before not being prepared and didn't pass. I bought this book and it has some great information about how to find jobs and tips for preparing for an interview to getting your resume ready. There is two complete sample tests in the book along with tips to help you get ready for your exam. I took 2 days to read this book and studied by going through the sample exams and when I went to take my exam I felt so much better and more prepared. My test results are soon to be coming. This is a great resource to have and a great start for a new career.

Dispatcher Review

This is a great book for review of the sections of each test. Although, the actual test I took had completely different tests with the exception of the listening test, the book was still very helpful in preparing me. I think the book should offer a few more practice tests than just one for each section. Overall, it's a great preparation book.
