In this follow-up to Ella Mental: And the Good Sense Guide, Ella and Toby have confessed their love for each other, and now Ella's certain they'll spend all their time together. Just when she has everything figured out, her dad drops a bomb on her and her twin sister, Anna. He demands that each of them find a job within a week. Anna takes up modeling. She and her mother start spending more time together, shopping for proper outfits and going to photo shoots, while Ella feels left out and under appreciated. Ella spends her time trying to hang out with her friends and her boyfriend. However, cuddling with Toby makes their friends uncomfortable. Can Ella find a way to balance out her life? Teaches a leseson....

this is a really great book. not only is it funny, and full of British slang, but it helps teach a life lesson. it shows what bipolar people go through, and the lengths Ella goes through to try to understand Lucas, and maintain her relationship with her new bf, Toby.

A Valentine Treat

This charming teen book is a continuation of Ella Mental and the Good Sense Guide. The characters are the same, and we learn more about them and their relationships with one another. The book is very light, easy to read, and has a wonderfully girly cover. In this second book of the series, Ella and her new boyfriend/best friend Toby enter into a romantic relationship, Ella faces conflict with her parents and twin sister, and a new friend is introduced (Lucas) for the sake of ending the book with a bigger message. This is definitely great reading for reluctant (female) teen readers. I enjoyed it very much (ditto the first one) and look forward to the series continuing on.
