Good Queen Bess

I absolutely love Margaret George's writing style. She beautiful paints the scenery of life at the court of Queen Elizabeth I, the many interesting characters around her. Including her great love, Robert Dudley and her ministers such as the Ceils and Walsingham. And, her great rivals of Mary Queen of Scots and another cousin, Lettice Knollys.

Virgin Queen, really?

I absolutely love the way Margaret George writes. She tells a well detailed tale of Elizabeth, her court, lover?, and the men she surrounded herself with. I have read a couple of books about Elizabeth and this one was the easiest and most detailed.

Remarkable Historical Novel

I absolutely love Margaret George’s writing style. As a reader I felt like I was right there with Queen Elizabeth. She was a remarkable woman, especially when you consider the time of her reign. Can’t wait to read more of her books.
