Jim Kjeldsen began writing his first short story at 11:10 a.m.on April 5, 1974, in the lower level of the student union building at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. He's still hasn't finished it. This is his collection since then. He lives in an old river town on the Upper Mississippi River between a state hardwood forest and a national wildlife refuge with his research assistant of 40 years and their dog Isis.
