I can't believe people here didn't like this book. This book was a Godsend for me. I had a statistics teacher who spoke very poor English and didn't know how to explain things to students. I had to rely COMPLETELY on this book to learn - and I got an A! This book was clear and simple, unlike every other math book I've had to use in high school and college. It describes things in terms even the worst math student should be able to understand.

As an instructor, this is the only basic statistics book that I have found that the students actually used the book. The author does a good job of explaining the background of "why" we use particular procedures rather than focussing on only the "how". He also incorporates easy step by step outlines of each procedure. The book is well organized, includes a multitude of problems, and includes a data CD. Untill I write my own, I'll use this one.
