Twelve and a half-year-old Tommy Eagleson and his faithful companion, Vixen, have the adventure of their lives when on a stormy night, they enter through a door in a massive sycamore tree. They encounter strange beasts, called Wood Mites, that threaten their lives. However, Tommy and Vixen also save the life of a unicorn, Merci, who takes them to the magical, mystical Kingdom of Elemenope.
In Elemenope, Tommy and Vixen meet the beautiful Princess Katerina and her mother, Queen Alessandra, who is very ill. They also come across the nasty Talon, his mean wife, Griselda, and their awful son, Raven. They repeatedly attack the two visitors from the Overworld.
To help save the queen, Tommy and Vixen will embark on a journey to the Endless Mountains searching for the Immorte Eternalis flower that legend holds can restore a person to good health. Tommy and Vixen will face fearsome creatures, including dragons and a giant three-horned bull. Mik-maks and Mystagogues will save them time and again.
