Swing trading is gaining popularity in the online trading world. Swing traders can make more trades than long-term investors, and yet are not active day/night traders. This work aims to shed light on how such investors think and act.
Since I lived in Nevada I tend to compare stock trading, whether it is day trading or swing trading, to speculation. If you are inclined to speculate and take a short term stock position, I recommend that you read the book before you engage in stock trading. It will help you understand the risk, tools and strategies required to survive in the business of stock trading. I like the book a lot because it was an honest introduction to short term stock trading. The book did not contain any hype or promises of returns or road map to fortunes. All of the trading risks in specualting on the stock price movements were disclosed upfront. Most importantly, the tools to manage such risk were introduced.Secondly, the book has more than 400 pages of stock trading information and so the book is complete. In my opinion, all of the trading information, from technical and fundamental analysis to Level II screen, was systematically presented in an easy to understand language. The book was also well organized and well illustrated so it was easy to read. In short, this book is one of the most complete introductory texts to stock trading that I have read. I particularly recommend the book to novice stock traders, although experienced traders will also benefit by reading it.
Sarkovich Review

I read a lot about stock trading, maintain a portfolio and occasionally do what I now know to be "swing trading". After reading the authors first book, "Electronic Day Trading Made Easy I did not hesitate purchasing his second "Electronic Swing Trading for Maximum Profit". I was correct in doing so. As expected, the swing trading book was well written and organized and easy to understand. All illustrations were sharp and professionally done. The author expanded the material to include additional technical analysis tools and trading alerts for the short-term traders, as well as the new material on fundamental analysis and IPOs. There is a lot of good stock trading information packed in this book for the beginners as well as the seasoned traders, including the appendix list of the best swing trading stocks in 2000.I particularly liked the author's objectivity and honesty. He did not succumb to temptations of being the trading industry promoter. This book is clearly not one of those "how to get rich quick" books. The risks of swing trading were well disclosed, as well as the tools for managing such risk. I have recommended the book to friends active in the stock market.
Well Done

I have looked to buy a swing trading book such as this one for long time. I do not have time or energy to engage in day trading so day trading books did not fit my needs. I could care less about any of the how-to-invest books on the market. This book was the perfect fit. It contained all of the tools and strategies for swing traders. It helped me immediately to understand the short term price volatility and movement. Well Done.
Great beginners guide to stock trading

Since I day trade stocks on a part time basis, I was curious to see how the author bridge the gap between the day trading and short-term investing or medium term trading. I have to admit the author did an excellent job. Everything seems to be here-- from technical analysis to taxes. It is truly the "one-stop guide" to short term investing or medium term trading.I particularly enjoyed technical analysis chapters. They were complete and well illustrated. All of the complex technical analysis indicators were well explained and illustrated. The language was easy to understand. The examples were real. Good job. The author was able to explain complex information in a simple step-by-step manner. It is not surprising that the author has an advanced degree. I do recommend this book to anyone considering the stock trading.
The most complete guide on stock trading

I try to read most of the new books on stock trading. I enjoyed Dr. Sarkovich's book "Electronic day trading made easy" and thus I did not hesitate purchasing his new book "Electronic swing trading for maximum profit". And I was correct. As expected, the swing trading book was well written and organized and easy to understand. Again, all book illustrations were sharp and professionally done. The author expanded the material to include additional technical analysis tools and trading alerts for short-term traders, as well as the new material on fundamental stock analysis and IPOs. Everything seems to be there-- from trade order executions to tax considerations. There is a lot of good stock information packed in the book for both the stock market beginners as well as the seasoned traders. For instance, the book included an appendix with the list of the best swing trading stocks in 2000.Most importantly, the author moved the focus of the book closer to the investment center. The book now presents valuable trading information that appeals both to active investors, that might hold the stock position for a few weeks or days, and active day traders, who might hold the stock position for a couple of hours or minutes.I particularly liked the author's objectivity and honesty. The author wrote a responsible book. The author did not succumb to temptations of becoming the industry promoter. This is clearly not one of those "how to get rich quick" books. The risks of swing trading were well disclosed, as well as the tools for managing such risks. I do recommend this book for anyone active in the stock market without any reservations.
