Fabian Rossi. A reporter for a Swiss Sunday newspaper wakes up in a hospital after having a blow to the head. The blow causes him memory loss and he struggles to regain that memory. Marlene, the blonde that visits him in hospital is not the woman he remembers as his girlfriend. His best friend and colleague, Lucas visits him regularly but avoids some issues. Rossi retraces his past, some of which seemed alien to him and tries to get to the truth. This novel is well written by Martin Suter, a native of Zurich, a city that I once lived in. It is full of suspence, romance and descriptions of interesting places in Switzerland and Italy.
