One of my New Testament professors in theological school likedthis parallel bible so much he required us to buy it. It is verygood, the translations are quite good too. It would be nice ifTyndale replaced the Living Bible with the New Living Translation, but the other seven translations have been chosenwith care. The Living Bible is more suitable for devotional reading or with children than in the study of the Scriptures. This is worth a look and belongs on the study shelf. You will not be disappointed in the purchase of this NT.

this book not only lets you compare popular translations at a glance, it gives straight answeres to your questions about the translations-controversy-"why do we need new translations?", "which greek manuscripts are the most accurate?", "did copysts add and change the words in copying and how do we know for sure?'-a "must-own" for any serious bible student-no matter what level. if you only buy one bible study/reference work-this is it!
Excellent resource for reading God's Word.

Without knowing which eight translations this volume contained I took a chance and bought it anyway. I'm not regretting it! This volume contains the following eight New Testament translations:- King James 1611, Living, J.B. Phillips, RSV, Good News, NIV, Jerusalem Bible, New English Bible. It's a great way to see how the various teams of scholars have translated from the Greek. It helps enormously to get the real meaning out by glancing through these translations which are all presented across the opened page. I recommend it
