won't stop reading till the end

a very effective,well writen story about a husband and wife(robert and lesley) and what was "supposed" to be an ordinary stop (for lunch in a diner) in the country,during which,the husband vanishes and abandons his wife...or does he? when lesley tries to get help from the local police,they tell her there is no trace of him anywhere. lesley does not believe in her heart that robert would forsake her so,she returns home,completely disguises herself,and then returns to the place of robert's disappearance to find out for herself, "what" exactly DID happen to robert. i do not want to spoil the ending but,suffice to say,this story kept my attention all the way through. i am only giving it four stars because,it is a good story but,not a great one.
