I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone that wants to tune into the best part of themselves!! There is lots of helpful advice, exercises and information. I love Edgar Cayce and the way Henry Reed expresses himself and brings his and Cayce's points and messages to the table. I just finished this book and am looking forward to finding more of his books. GREAT read!!
Being your higher self

This was an excellent book for a couple reasons. The author explains the different forms of channeling, giving exercises on developing those abilities, and, more importantly, he explains why Mr. Cayce chose to become one with his "Higher Self" in order to become more attuned to those who sought his assistance, rather than channeling other entities. The author also gives many examples from his own life of various means of channeling, or connecting with other realms----both within and without. This is definitely a worthwhile book....And I have read over 400 books in the spiritual/metaphysical category.
A warm and illuminating guide

Having never read any books in the Edgar Cayce series before, I found that this book not only lived up to the promise of its title, but also provided an excellent introduction to Edgar Cayce's work in general. The idea of "channelling" sounds a little dated, but the opening chapter put me at ease immediately with an explanation of this very wide-ranging word. The remainder of the book is a thorough discussion of all kinds of channelling, from dreams, creative and inspirational writing, imagination and intuition, to the less everyday techniques of channelling other spirits, trance channelling and healing. Even in these later chapters Henry Reed does a marvellous job of providing down to earth descriptions and explanations and is quick to point out the pitfalls of some methods. Each chapter opens with the sayings of Edgar Cayce. As a newcomer to his work I had some difficulty grasping the meaning or significance of these quotes. Henry Reed's explanations, on the other hand, I found both clear and fascinating. His illustrative diagrams I found especially illuminating. Henry Reed also draws upon his own reading and research to amplify and demonstrate his explanations.Although this book is not really set out as a "how to" guide, there are many suggestions for meditation and other exercises, and some group exercises, which are well worth following. In the end, channelling your higher self is about being yourself as only you can be. As Henry Reed says, "God intends for the world to have your expression. Use your intuition to know your soul's identity, your heart's true desire, and let it be." And Henry Reed has given a great deal of himself and his own love in writing this book. His warmth shines through. As for the work of Edgar Cayce, the best recommendation I can give is that I had already bought a couple more books about him before finishing this one.
A MUST-READ FOR SEARCHERS OF THE SOUL

An excellent book for those who are seeking answers to the mystery of the soul. This book gave me much insight into who I am and why I am here now. Do not expect to levitate after reading the book, but I can almost assure that if you are spiritually connected or even interested in spirituality in the slightest, you will reap rewards that will help you throughout the rest of your life. Don't worry if it seems like lots of repetition; it's like that for a reason. You'll see.
Lucid and accessible path

This book distills the information embedded in the Cayce readings to clear messages that work for me in this time and place. Really a remarkable read for how often it struck me as both profound and accessible. We all need to read this book.
