Before I read this book I thought I was the only person who thought this way; the only one to size every women in a room or the only one to have funny thoughts when it comes to food. This book made me realise that it's very common for women to compare themselves with their peers, to scrutinize their looks and the way they behave towards food. I don't have a serious weight nor food issues, but I can see that there is a very fine line between worrying too much and just looking after yourself. I can also see how upbringing and words that may have been used to describe us in our childhood could have a catastrophic effect. It has made me think more about the words I use to describe things or people to my two daughters. I really liked this book, it's easy to read, although it is a difficult subject, and it's very easy to relate to.
