Great entertainment for little kids

First of all, I certainly didn't notice that my pages weren't square, so, after reading these reviews, I measured. My pages ARE square, so I'm not sure what problem other people are having. But I wouldn't care anyway. This calendar has turned into the most fantastic toy for my almost-four-year-old son. We got this calendar in late January and have been working our way through it ever since (we really aren't using it as a calendar). He loves playing with all the little animals and boats and sleds and such and I really am enjoying making them for him. And, being made out of paper, they last about as long as his attention span and then we make something new! Each morning you pick up the previous day's sheet of paper and follow the present day's instructions to make something new. The colors change every few weeks and many have pretty patterns on them. It's fun to see what each paper is going to look like. Since the intructions are on the white side of the paper, the white parts of your creation sometimes have writing on them. No big deal. I find the instructions clear and pretty easy to follow. It seems to build in difficulty as the year goes on. There are a few instructional pages scattered throughout the year that don't actually make anything, but we've just used those to skip ahead and make something new. So, if you have kids, this is quite a fun toy and you certainly shouldn't worry about what time of year it is to start!

Great little fun calendar

I love this calendar! I've kept everything I've made and I'm decorating my desk at work. As the other reviewer said, it's not perfectly square, but we're talking less than a millimeter off. Personally, I like the slightly thicker paper. As the title of the project says, this is easy - which is great for beginners. I'll probably buy it again next year just for the fun I'm having with it! :)
