A MUST HAVE

The book is a must-have for beginners to beading. The book covers all; neclaces, bracellets and a few earrings. A beginner who doesn't know yet if beading is for them, certainly can just purchase this one book. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and the models although are simple, but have a classy touch. I bought 3, it is a very appreciated gift.

One of the best.........

I am new to making jewelry. I had picked up a Bead Style magazine and loved it. So when I saw this book I couldn't resist! It is wonderful. They have full color pictures that detail how to make the piece as well as all of the components used. They have a wide variety of styles. The instructions are very user friendly and in most cases contain photos to go along with each corresponding instruction. I would recommend this to beginner's as well as more experienced people since they have wonderful ideas! I definitely got my money's worth.

An Introduction to Making Your Own Fashionable Jewelry

When my cousin introduced me to Beading, I had no idea you could make items from family heirlooms and that the new jewelry would have such significance. She took beads from my grandmother's jewelry and made me a bracelet with spacers between the beads and then earrings. I was intrigued by how fast you could create one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. This project book has over 140 jewelry-making projects from the first year of the BeadStyle magazine. The projects are organized well and there are hundreds of full-color photographs to show you the finished pieces. With this book in hand, you may find yourself making custom jewelry for specific outfits. Beading Terms - Includes pictures of all the pliers needed, wire used, gemstone shapes, spacers, connectors, variety of beads. Basic Techniques - Teaches you how to make loops and knots. Shows you how to finish jewelry and how to wrap wire. Projects - Each project is a colorful step-by-step guide. You could make a necklace and bracelet, six strand freshwater pearl bracelet, beaded belt, pearl necklace, charm bracelet, pearl and crystal combo necklace, sparkly bracelets, scallop necklace (unique design), organza ribbon necklaces for romantic evenings and earrings. Once you make a necklace, you can also make an earring, although most of the projects are for a necklace or bracelet. The Shortcut section shows you how to organize your beads and how to keep beads from rolling off a surface. Lots of fun projects that will send you to the local bead store! ~The Rebecca Review

Super book for the beginner, great ideas for everyone!

This will quickly become a beginning beader's best friend! Clearly illustrated with large photographs of each project, the directions are simple and easy. LOVE the fact that materials required for each project are accessible and listed down to the last spacer bead. More advanced beaders can still find inspiration from some clever designs and innovative uses of materials. If you like to bead, or would like to begin beading, I recommend this resource. I have heaps of beading books, many of which I've only gone through once or found only a project or two that seems interesting and attainable. I can see myself returning to Easy Beading again and again for fun, simple projects that provide almost instant gratification. NOTE: this book does not cover intricate woven bead projects -- which is just fine with me.

Showcases more than 140 jewelry-making projects

Drawn from the pages of the Kalmbach Publishing Company's BeadStyle magazine, Easy Beading: The Best Projects From The First Year of BeadStyle Magazine showcases more than 140 jewelry-making projects specifically appropriate for beginning beaders. Each project is organized by the types of materials to be used, with directions showing novice beaders just how to create unique necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and more. Each project includes a complete supply list, step-by-step photos, and can be completed in an evening or a weekend. Hundreds of full-color photographs present the finished pieces. Of special note is a photo glossary of beading terms, tools, and materials, as well as a photo gallery of basic techniques for positioning a crimp bead, wrapping a wire loop, and tying a surgeon's knot. There are even five pages of shortcuts and tips drawn from BeadStyle magazine readers to get new beaders started out properly. No community library jewelry making or crafts collection can be considered complete without the addition of Easy Beading!
