Excellent Book, Interesting Perspective of Dark Side

As the third book in a great series, this book had a lot to live up to, and I think it did in many ways. You could certainly complain about the predictable nature of parts, but I won't becuase I found the book entertaining in spite of this. It's one of the few Star Wars books I've read of late that have actually had characters that develop a little from the start to the finish. (A lot of the recent books have been half-baked poorly disguised marketing gimmicks with lame characters and even lousier plots.) Not so with this one, for "bad guys" Zannah and Bane are likable people, very passionate about what they believe. The ending was fitting if a little disappointing. Parts of the book are way too convenient. (Bane's rescue, etc) Still, to have such flaws and still be entertaining is commendable in a book. It's a worthwhile read. I may reread the others so it all fits nicely.

Awsome!

Great book just like the other two. I would love to read more novels by this author. I think it's great someone is writing stories about sith. Star Wars is usually very Jedi bias.

Great Book

So this was simply a good fast read for me. I enjoyed the first two books immensely and enjoyed seeing Drew bring in some of the minor characters from previous books to expand. I also like seeing him expand in his writing from just one person in the first book (Bane) to multiple in the 3rd. He is starting to do a better job of weaving multiple stories into one large story which is very good for us. The only thing I would have to go for against the book is that it is semi-predictable but only in the matter that you have the Rule of Two. Sorry for the semi-spoiler but it does make sense, and read the book if you want to learn more. Overall I would highly recommend this book and the previous two as they start to fill in some much needed information in regards to the storylines that are referenced in the movies.

Another great book by a talented author

This is a great way to end the Darth Bane trilogy and even if Drew Karpyshyn does not continue on with Darth Zannah's adventures, this is a perfect way to go out. To me, Darth Bane is as interesting (if not more so) as any Sith Lord we've heard of, including Darth Sidious. He was a well-developed, intriguing character that I enjoyed getting to know through the course of three books. The pacing of the book was excellent and the new characters introduced helped raise the tension as the book built to its climax. There seemed to be many ways for the story to end still, even with only 20 pages left. And that is a great compliment for any book or author. I still believe the Darth Bane books are the best of the Expanded Universe books, even better than the Timothy Zahn trilogy that started them all.
