Although this book has a few timeless putting pointers, little applies to the modern game. The book seems to be an unedited compilation of short articles from the early 20th century and typical of golf books, has more fluff about ancient golf matches and players than it has substantive putting information. The book has fuzzy black and white photographs and odd typeface enlargements throughout. This book could easily be half as many pages by deleting the excessive white space, simple editing, and selection of a common smaller typeface. Don’t buy this book unless you simply want a short history on putting in the 1800’s and early 1900’s.
