Kimberly In Love...

Let's cut to the chase...hottest sex scene I have ever read in a book. Okay... now about the story. Gina and Camden married when they were young and Camden promptly leaves England. He returns years later in response to a letter from Gina asking for an annulment so that she can marry someone else (Gina and Camden are on the friendliest of terms) He arrives at a ball and sees a breathtakinly beautiful woman on the dance floor who happens to be his wife. Not only has Gina matured into a gorgeous woman but she is also the toast of the ton. The two are thrown together at various social events and Camden finds himself in the unfortuante situation of falling in love with his wife. Mabye annulement is not such a good idea after all...Ms. James is known for her humor in her previous books but this one was the best! Soooo funny...Let me restate...I got chills when I read "their" scene. Fantastic read.

Duchess in Love is a frolic!

I can't remember when I've enjoyed a book more! Ms. James has a way with sexy humor that had me laughing out loud and lusting in silence. Her characters were just what I want -- the kind of people I can relate to and root for. Maybe if you're the kind of... person who makes lists about what's wrong with the books you read, you should avoid this, but if you're NORMAL, make sure you get Duchess in Love. It's great!

easy to fall in love with

this is my favourite kind of regency - light and bright and witty with a hint of bite and depth, but not enough to spoil the froth.There are unhappy women, strange aristocratic marriages, the desire for stability verses just plain desire. There were chuckle out loud moments and steamy sensuality (all puns intended, the love scene in the new fangled splash bath worked very well.) My only quibble was that it ended rather quickly, I could have had a few more pages exploring Greece, and that I hope we meet these characters again, because some of them certainly deserve more love than they were getting!It reads well and easily, this is my first Eloisa James but certainly not my last.

Razorsharp, Fun & Real

Duchess in Love is one of those books that makes you wish you knew a crowd like that... then you realize that maybe you should look at your crowd more like Eloisa James looks at her characters. All have flaws, but James' perfect pitch for finding and showing the hilarity and dearness of her characters makes you love them. I'd even say they make you think and evaluate your own relationships (positively!). Her plots may be somewhat exaggerated, but there's nothing in them that's impossible or makes no sense, and come on, it's fiction! Even controlled farce. Beutifully controlled, I'd say. This one was great!

I LOVED THIS BOOK!

I read a lot of romances, and I'm kind of sick of all the misunderstandings in the plots. Why don't these people just talk to each other? Eloisa James's new book was absolutely marvelous that way -- NO misunderstandings, just laugh aloud funny lines. A great sexy romance
