This book provides anyone intersted in learning to play drums with all the information they need to get started. Packed with useful tips and simple illustrated lessons that are easy to understand,... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This book covers all the basics, but goes indepth on a lot of things that drummers never learn such as the anatomy of a drum. The Drummer's Bible could be used as a reference, or may work as a progression from start to finish. I would suggest having this available in your percussion library, even if you are an advanced drummer. Also, this book would be great for any, and all drum teachers.
Surprisingly good

book skips over the basics rather quickly, but does have some good exercises for rudiments and such. the majority of the book is spent going over groves and variations. It will take one basic style, say straight 8 with 16th note snare variations, break it down for you, and then start going over a bunch of permutations. It's not going to teach you how to play, but if you are looking for something that just gives you a bunch of grooves to practice with and maybe a bit of inspiration on how to change up some stale grooves you've been playing, then maybe this is for you.
