Dreamwalk roswell

Dreamwalk is a very good book about Kyle and Isabel, two of the good characters in the tv show. It takes place following the departure of Tess. The book is an interesting read and I definately recommend it. The cost is a lot but this book is worth it. Besides the main problem of Isabel getting stuck in Kyle's mind there are others. Liz and Max have to find out what Jason's problem is and once they do they have to find a way to talk to his mother. During this time they are wondering, will Jason tell his parents that Max stayed the weekend, Will Max be a good father himself? Maria and Michael are fighting about Michael not expressing himself. Little did she know she would end up calling him Rembrant by the end of the book. Isabel has problems because she is hiding her relationship with Jesse and doesn't know what to do. She also finds out that Tess killed Alex out of pure fear. Should that change her opinion of Tess? There is one snag in the book though, at the end Isabel says something to ghost Alex and I'm thinking it probably leads into the 4th book but I'm not sure, it's not very clear.

Dreamwalk - The Episode That Should Have Been..

As a fan of the show - I loved the aspect of the "czechoslovakians" powers and abilities - and I must admit the Dreamwalking idea is by far my favourite one!.. Dreamwalk by Paul Ruditis is an EXCELLENT READ!!.. The images Kyle has in his head keep him from sleeping - so logically - he asks Isabel to Dreamwalk him and remove them.. Isabel knows it's a bad idea - but after spending a 'sleepless' day with Kyle she realises how close he is to a breakdown.. Not thinking too much of her own safety - she enters Kyles mind only to be trapped by a young six-year-old Kyle who doesn't want to be left alone.. This is definately one of the books that should have been an episode.. If not to show the depths of Dreamwalking - then to show a little more of Kyle Valenti's background.. These books are now OOP and extremely expensive - but this book is one of very few in the 'New Series' that would actually be worth spending the 'mint' on!!.. Always Mirren.

A lot of humor, some angst and a good subplot

Another good Roswell book, this one was even better than `Skeletons in The Closet'. The basic plot is that Kyle is having nightmares after Alex's death so Isabel reluctantly dreamwalks him to help sort it out. Then she gets stuck in his dream/head and can't get out. After reading the Roswell High books, I had forgotten how much Kyle changed in the later seasons of the show and how caring he got for his friends. It was a nice side of him to see while he was worrying about Isabel. It also goes into his past and his unhappy family life. Another side of a character we don't get to see as much was Isabel's own worry over Kyle and her helping to get him past the nightmares. A lot of humor, some angst and a good subplot. I liked Michael warming up to the kid in the end, very appropriate.

great book for all isabel fans

it is about time that someone noticed that isabel is probaly the most overlooked character of the roswell show and the books too. this book cast her and kyle as the stars(nice to include kyle too becasue he is often forgotten). it starts with kyle having nighmares every night about alex's death and the part that tessforced him to play in it. after it starts interfering with his job, he asks isabel to dreamwalk him to take the bad parts of his nightmare out. she tells him that is not actually within her power to do and that if she tried she could possibly hurt him.later, isabel starts to feel guilty and dreamwalks him anyway without kyle's knowledge and isabel finds that his nightmares areworse than she thought. when she tries to return to her own body she finds that she is trapped and may never be able to return.their is also a mild subplot involving liz and max. liz is asked to babysit a cousin in a nearby town and max tags along for the weekend. when they get there they find their 12 year old charge far from cooperative and they have an interesting weekend dealingwith some of the problems that a preteen boy goes through. this is definitely a book well worth reading for any true roswell fan.i read most of it the first day i picked it up. truly a good book.

The Aftermath of Alien Mind Control

Kyle Valenti can't sleep. One year after the death of his friend Alex, he's haunted by terrible nightmares. Kyle knows Alex didn't commit suicide, but was murdered by the treacherous Tess, one of Roswell's no-longer resident aliens. Kyle even helped her kill him, completely oblivious at the time due to Tess's mind-control machinations. If anyone can help Kyle come to grips with his tortured psyche, it's Isabel Evans, whose distinctive alien power is the ability to Dreamwalk - literally to enter another person's mind, while sleeping. Isabel thinks it's a bad idea. She's never done exactly what Kyle is proposing, or at as deep a level. She's afraid she might end up hurting Kyle more than helping. Once she decides to try anyway, she discovers a potentially worse problem than doing inadvertent harm to her friend - having entered his deepest dreams, she just might not be able to find her way back out...Ruditis writes the Roswell characters wonderfully, and has a brisk, easy-to-read style. He doesn't complicate the plot with too many references to past series events, but only those necessary to the story. All the characters get a pretty fair share of air-play, so to speak, though it's definitely an Isabel story. Liz and Max have a less-interesting subplot, taking care of a wounded pre-teen cousin of Liz's, which largely comes off like an after-school special but allows for some character exploration of the teenaged alien leader and his human girlfriend. This is really a simple and straightforward story, rather like a very good episode of the T.V. series. What makes it shine is the writing of the characters, and the depth of feeling between them. It's short and sweet - very sweet, and very good.
