The best start for a new series

This book was great! I thought that the story of Nola and her imagination was intriging. I can't wait for another book by these two authors comes out. I'll be the first on line. If you liked Piers Anthony's Chaos Mode series, you'll love this new world of dreams and wishes.

An indepth look into abusive relationships and hope.

Julie Brady is a new writer of great talent combined with the premier Fantasy writer Piers Anthony and you have a wonderful new world created by dreams. It's a Love story and a quest novel roled into one with a heroine instead of a hero. This book gives some insights into why women stay in abusive relationships and the hardships that sometimes ensue when they leave. You can feel the self hatred and feelings of worthlessness of the main characters. You can also feel the strong hope and dreams of each of them. This story covers it all from despair to aborted suicide to the bloom of new hope and selfworth. It gives a feeling of hope and a reason to believe in our dreams. Well worth reading. Keep a hanky close by it may cause tears.

A heart touching story...

When I first looked at this book ,it was sadly not for Julie, but for Piers Anthony. But as always after I picked it up I could not put it down! Even if two authors had written this book about Tina and Nola, they both deserve the credit. Now I know Piers is a great writer ,but Julie is just as great. It was actually a very heart touching story...and a sometimes sad one. This story was greatly illistrated and I thought that Nola and Tina were very good character structures. All in all I give this book my compliments and a five-star rating.

A beautiful fantasy novel that will inspire your own dreams.

A combination of simple easy-to-read prose, an engaging story, mature topics, potent symbolism, and intriguing characters makes _Dream A Little Dream_ a fun and moving book. I always read the book flap first, the authors' notes second, and the actual story last. In this case, reading the authors' notes gives a wonderful perspective (or is that pre-spective ) on the work.I have been reading Piers Anthony's novels for fifteen years. I can highly recommend this collaboration with Julie Brady. I am eager to read more from this obviously talented and creative new author, whether in collaboration with Piers or on her own. The story, concept, and method in which the book was written are exciting and ripe with promise for future stories.Perhaps I'm so excited about this book because of my own interest and enjoyment of dreams, or perhaps because the characters in the book seem so real and memorable. Either way, for pure fantasy enjoyment, it gets five stars.

For those who dream....

I am not completely positive how much work was done by each author---Mr. Anthony or Ms. Brady, but it seems to be written from a very feminine point of view. Though this is not to say that a male will not appreciate the work. Actually, anybody who has ever dreamed about being elsewhere or being a part of a fantasy will probably enjoy this tale. However, this is not a book for all fantasy readers. If you primarily read from authors like Robert Jordan or David Eddings--epic fantasy--then you may not enjoy this novel. On the other hand, fans of Piers Anthony and similar authors of his genre, will more then likely enjoy this story, or if you wish to read a fantasy novel that seems to take place closer to home instead of in a far away land and time.
