After Clark Kent's super-powers - and his memory of them - mysteriously vanish, Ray Dansk, a paroled killer who has has received an inhuman strength from contaminated waters, returns to Smallville, determined to seek revenge on the town that had sent him to town. (A WB Network television ser
After reading the Strange Visitors this was an up-lifting experience. This book moved much more quickly than the first and would have made an excellent episode. Another excellent job by the author in keeping the Lex Luthor character true to form. My only complaints would be the ages of the characters did not seem to match the television series nor the content of the book. I would have also liked to see a much more mature Clark Kent. Once again, probably too much history but if you are not familiar with the show then you might need it.I envisioned the characters to be more like the TV show when reading and it created a great reading experience. A very good read for the Smallville fan.
Good mix

Author has a good mix of his perspective on the TV series and his own imagination. Another captivating read with some comedy... Glad for the differences between it and the TV series. Hope you enjoy it too!
Good compliment to the series

The Smallville companion novels are quite good. They maintain the characters and there interrelationships faithfully. It was good fun to read. I highly recommend all the books in this series.

This is the first Smallville book that I've read, and I liked it. It did have inconsistancies and reminded me more of well done fan fiction than a published book. Yes, it's true, the book has Lex saying "Dude" a few times, which is totally uncharacteristic and Clark's reactions aren't the same as they are in the book. If you overlook those it's a great book, just what you need to hold you over from one Tuesday to the next!
this book was okay

after reading 3 original smallville books, i am beginning tothink that the story does not translate well into print. this story tells of a man who committed murder 12 years ago and finally gets out and has the notion that he will come clean and do well in the world. but smallville is not known for normal life. he comes back to smallville, is exposed to the meteroites, and his life and the life of the town is never quite the same. this story does have some interesting hereos and a couple of plottwist, but like xena, the books never seem to come close to the tv show that we all love. hopefully some of the future books arebetter written and give us hope to look for new titles.
