Memory Lane of LA Chinatown

This is a detail archaeology research study on the excavation of the Chinatown that was destroyed in the building of Union Station. Based on the artifacts of unearth found on the site and restored a picture how Chinese made their living in this town of Angeles along the Apablasa Street. The picture on p.22 was the building of Chee Kung Tong, The Chinese Free Mason and the table on the next page listed by street number along Apablasa Street in their business of lottery and even opium. The daily items at home, kitchen, business and their own relationships with other ethnic groups, with tong wars and the 1871 Negro Ally massacre. The daily life items such as coin, tooth brush, and ceramic bottles even spittoon were described in details. The broken bowl with I Ching trigrams, was a picture on p.75.
