You would think spending your entire life in the hood around dope boys and hoodrats, would make you a product of your environment, but Cruz is nothing like that. She's the middle sister and the one that hates the hood the most. Having met the man of her dreams, illustrious hustler Vega Santos, she's introduced to the finer things in life, further enhancing her hate for her surroundings even more. Seeing no value or advancement in her past Cruz links up with Vega and never looks back. The irony of Cruz's situation sets in when she realizes the very thing she's running from is the same thing she's running to. Having won the heart of one of the realist thugs in the game proves to be more difficult than she thought.
