Other books just tell you what is wrong and then give these IMPOSSIBLE tasks of changing your ways and forcing others to change too? NO WAY is THAT realistic-- this book is more about ask yourself each and every time when things stress you out-- What purpose does this serve? What do I accomplish if I do this or that? It is work to remember to think this before every action or reaction.. but again it reminds you--- this is SMALL stuff .. and there are far more greater things you should be doing with your life and your family

What a delightful book packed with ideas that make you THINK. Lots of separate "articles" so you can digest one at a time. Such as: 'Don't Wait for Bad News to Appreciate Your Life' and 'Let Go of Your Expectations' and 'Forgive Your Outbursts". Another book I love: Perfect Parenting - The Dictionary of 1000 Parent Tips by Elizabeth Pantley. (The nuts and bolts of discipline/behavior)

Great book that is ! I read it whenever I found the time and with its small chapters full of great insights it puts all of your life in perspective again. From living in the present to reevaluating your goals in life this little wonderful book is full of beautiful, simple true insights in what is really important in life. I have it besides my bed and read at least one chapter every evening. And I will for sure start at the beginning again once I have finished it (for the second time)I highly recommend this book to anyone who feels that todays society and its values are somewhat out of proportions. You willl realize that it all is just you...

This book brings us back to what is really important in life....relationships...all that we have...all that we can obtain has no greater meaning. It makes one stop and consider what they are doing with their life and what it is that can cause life to have some sense of happiness , peace and fullfillment. In our office, I take one "chapter" a day and share it with the staff. We talk about how that applies to us in our jobs as well as personally...we all are learning to find more joy as we quit "Sweating the Small Stuff!"

So far, I can honestly say this book has changed my family life for the better! Having started reading it two weeks ago, I am more relaxed around my kids and spouse, and they are much happier. Such simple, easy to apply advice. Parenting books can be overwhelming with advise and the expectations to be perfect - this is the solution to the unrealistic demands we put on ourselves and our families to be perfect. Thanks to this author!
