Wonderful book for an avid 5 year old reader.

My almost 6 year old daughter fell in love with this book after reading it in the waiting room of a doctor's office. It is a delightful book that takes you on a the journey of a little girl that visits her grandads farm, at first reluctantly, then as she experiences the fun that a farm and country-life has to offer, she warms up to the idea of being away from home. The story is told via letters that are written to the little girl's mother, ala "Don't Forget to Write". We donated a copy to our elementary schools media center (however, I have yet to receive it) and our media center specialists (librarian) also loved it. I cannot believe how difficult it is to get this book. I think the book distributors have missed the boat on this one. Start promoting and marketing this book and I guarantee, you'll have a best-seller on your hands. Thank you Martina Selway for your creativity in writing this delightful book!

Home is Where the Heart Is

"Don't Forget to Write" was a great book. It really shows that home is where the heart is. Rosie is sent off to stay with her Auny Mabel and Grandad on thier farm for a few days. She is really upset about going, and does not want to at all. Once she gets there, all she thinks about is coming home, but of couse she couldn't.While "Old Ginger Nut" was on the farm, she spends a lot of time helping out her aunt and grandad with the chores. Some of them were collecting eggs and selling sheep at the market. Although Rosie doesn't like being away from home at first, she eventually warms up to the idea. She gets used to being away from home, but still wants to go back. This is a great story. It's perfect for kids who are going away with out their parents for a while for their first time. No matter where you go, home is where the heart is.~(...)
