Kitty Kilroy wishes her mother would go away so that she would stop telling Kitty what not to do. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a fun story about a little girl who likes to cause trouble. Then her mother goes away and she gets to do what she wants for a day (wear pajamas "all day long", eat ice cream and cereal for breakfast), then ends up missing her mother after all. It's a feminine and also less scary-looking version of "No, David!". The title is a refrain that is repeated throughout the book, which little kids will love to say over and over. I think it's meant for slightly younger kids than the recommendation, say 2-6, rather than 4-8. My daughter loves this book. We borrowed it from the library, and when we returned it, she looked for this book all over the house. Days later, she was still looking for it at bedtime, so I'm now online buying a copy. I don't know why this is out of print!
