Extremely underated book.

I went through SERE training in the military and they had a suggested reading list for continued training and study. Dolgun was high on their list and they mentioned it specifically. The man in this story had no training to resist but had the reseliency and tenacity to figure it out along the way on his own. It examplifies the horrors and suffering of the communist machine and how so many people were arrested, forgotten, and disappeared.
