Simple, effective dog training

I took this book out of the local library and I found it so helpful I will be buying my own copy.The text is very clear and simply expressed. It is possible to sit down and read the book from cover to cover without being overwhelmed, but if you want to just dip into it the chapter headings make it easy to find the information you need and there is also an index. The first part deals with general training of a new puppy and the later chapters deal with specific problems. The authors give you an insight into dog psychology and their training philosophy makes a lot of sense. The book has attractive and useful illustrations which help explain points made in the text.
