Bobby Dodd was an all american quarterback at Tennessee and went on to be the winingest coach in the rich history of Georgia Tech Football. A contemporary of Bear Bryant, Shrug Jordan, Wallace Wade and other legendary Southern football coaches, Dodd was something of a maverick among them. He believed football should be fun, didn't believe in grueling practices, infact he seldom allowed his teams to hit in practice once the season started. The book looks at his playing days and then contains collections of antedotes of how he out coached his contemporaies and motivated his players. He was indeed one of a kind and any football fan would enjoy this book. He is still held in idol like esteem by Tech people everywhere, in his hey day the motto around campus was "In Dodd we trust"
