This is a cute teen drama with plenty of sibling rivalry, angst, fabulously funny situations, and surprising depth. Jenny is the dreamer in all of us: who didn't want to be beautiful, glamorous, popular, and better than our older annoying sister? Didn't we all do something really crazy to get noticed and in the process learn great life lessons?Jenny's justifications of her actions are typical for the Me-Decade, and so is her sweet naivete, afflictions of concsience, and even her make-up. I read this when it was age-appropriate but I plan to re-read it and I'm sure it will still be as funny and poignant--even the way Matt Gates behaves because we've all wondered what our favorite teen idol was REALLY thinking!I recommend this for teen girls, boys and those of us who grew up in the 80s and would like to re-live our school days.
