I LOVED IT!

While browsing through a bookstore one day, I happened to notice the beautiful pictures on the front of this book. It had a catchy title because it sounded so simple. I picked it up, flipped through, and was hooked! I knew I would LOVE this book. I took it home, read it in one afternoon, and picked up TONS of new hints and tips. The book covers everything from general advice on tanks and equipment to info on your favorite aquarium fish. This is a very exciting book, and a must-have for beginners. Complete with lots of pictures, I'd suggest this book to anyone new to the hobby!

A GOOD BOOK FOR YOUNGER FISH LOVERS

THIS IS A GOOD BOOK FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SOME KIND OF KNOWLEGE ABOUT FISHES IN PAST, YET THIS BOOKS HAVE VERY COLOURFUL COLDWATER,MARINE AND FRESHWATER FISHES PICTURE

All the information on aquarium varieties you could need.

I have had aquariums ever since I can remember. No other book has helped me in identifing my fish better. I can look at all the different varieties and quickly see how they would fit in with other fish and their eating habits, ect. Not to mention that the color pictures are wonderfully useful in indentification of fish. I have just recently gotten rid of my real aquarium and have taken up "virtual aquariums". My "Aquazone Deluxe" computer program allows for me to have all the fun of real fish with the click of a mouse. Recently my Eyewitness Handbook has come in handy more than ever and I find myself going back to it again and again for identification, social interactions, breeding, and feeding. I reccomend this great book for any aquarium enthusist!

excellent book

real life photos of the most common fish people enjoy reading and learning about. Very colorful book and informative for all levels of hobbists.

An excellent aquarium book...

Although I have read very few aquarium books, this is definitely a very useful resource for aquarists, either freshwater or marine. The book begins with a brief description of the history of fish-keeping, and a little about the physical characteristics and differences between freshwater and marine fish. It also supplies information about the holding capacity of different aquariums and how to set up both freshwater and marine tanks. The maintenance chart and the section on fish diseases and how to select healthy fish is very useful. Various diagrams are also helpful and informative. And the main body of the book has excellent fish photographs, information on max. size, diet, aggressiveness, etc. This is an especially good book for beginning aquarists, but also for those who have kept fish for years. I would reccomend this book to anyone interested in aquariums. Dick Mills did a very good job
