God created Adam. Adam became lonely after naming all the animals. God created Eve. Eve sinned by following the Serpent. Adam sinned by following Eve. This is the beginning of marriage, and it has been downhill since. This book looks at covenants and contracts to get a better understanding of marriage. God did not permit divorce in the beginning. Marriages were supposed to be for life. Moses, however, allowed a man to put away his unfaithful wife. Men abused this allowance and began divorcing his wife for any reason. Women followed suit. Jesus tried to correct this application; however, believers are still divorcing for any reason. I hope this book clears up some of the confusion. - Michael
