The Absolute Best Back Lace I've Read to Date

I've read a few dozen of the Black Lace offerings, various authors, and with a few exceptions found most of the books completely forgettable. This book is truly an exception to that statement. I found the main characters well developed and extremely interesting; the story line completely engaging; the sense of place created fascinating; and the authors use of the langauge very well done. Oh, and I also found both the story and the characters very high charged and totally erotic. Most of the Black Lace novels just seem silly, as though the authors are simply babbling flat nonsense in between formulaic sex scenes between characters whose only interest in one another is a mutual itch to scratch. The authors/stories forget all about passion, obsession, longing and an intellectual as well as physical intimacy which is what makes a story truly erotic. This book was impossible to put down and a few months later the story and the characters are still very much in my thoughts.

Erotic fantasy deep from witin a highly creative mind .. WOW

Anyone that has read 'Cruel Enchantment' probably needs little encouragement to buy this latest novel from Janine Ashbless. The story takes us back in time to a land where the Irolian warrior rulers send one of their young generals, Veraine, and a troop of his top soldiers to protect the ancient temple city of Mulhanabin against an attack by the unwashed hordes, aptly name, the Horse Eaters. The city is of interest to the barbarians since a young female, considered to be a god by the city's occupants, of course lievs within the temple, and, must, at all costs, be protected. The general not being one to worship any gods is like a fish out of water while he and his men prepare for the imminent attack. At the very beginning of the book, and true to the authors style, general Veraine's private celebration, after being advised of his promotion to general, with two slave girls belonging to his superior officer, is in my mind worth the price of the book alone. For those of us that love sizzling erotica set in make believe times and lands I also suggest that you check out 'Primal Skin' by Leona Benkt Rhys, and 'The Hand of Amun' by Juliet Hastings ..... trust me you will not leave the room or these books until you have deoured them or they have devoured you ....
