It is meaningful, inspiring, and God-inspired. I take it with me for the commute and then read it right before bed too - it's just the reminder and "God centering" a busy 21st life needs!

Great Prescriptions for Spritual Health

In this book Fr. Kosicki describes 12 common spiritual ailments(poisons) that can destroy us, and he prescribes an antidote for each one. The antidotes are drawn from the spiritual wisdom of St. Faustina's Diary and Scripture. If you have read all or some of St. Faustina's Diary you know that it is lengthy, and here in this little book Fr. Kosicki has simplified or "put it in a nutshell" some of the spiritual wisdom of St. Faustina. This wonderful little book can be of great help to anyone wishing to advance in their spiritual life. It can help you grow closer to God every day. I borrowed a copy from our parish library, and now I need to purchase my own copy. I feel it will be a very useful little book to have on hand, and will also make a great gift item. Each of the 12 chapters deals with a "poison" and a remedy. In chapter eight Fr. Kosicki prescribes the Eucharist as a remedy for spiritual weakness. He suggests not only receiving the Eucharist, but also spiritual communions, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. He tells us to open our hearts to "Radiation Therapy". As a member of a group in our parish who participate in Eucharistic Adoration, I find his term of "Radiation Therapy" totally appropriate. Just being with Jesus is therapy everyone could benefit from. Vinny Flynn, author of "Seven Secrets of the Eucharist", writes in the Foreword: "Please don't just read this book. Use it to discover where you need God's healing touch, from day to day, and take regular doses of the medicine you need."
