Fun book, but not as good as some of the others in the series.

I love all of the books in this novel series because they showcase Ariel's older sisters just as much as Ariel herself. A welcome change to the norm, when the other girls are shoved aside in favor of the youngest mermaid. The writers do a fabulous job of detailing the sisters' personalities and the illustrators really captured their beauty and the emotions in the scenes they portray. Although it is meant for children, this book is written well enough for adults to enjoy too. Plot synopsis: Ariel's favorite teacher has mysteriously disappeared, and after reading a book about a famous spy, the princess is convinced that the new substitute teacher did something horrible to the hapless tutor. So, inspired by the book, Ariel decides to become a spy in order to find out what has happened. Most of the "people" she talks to are sure Ariel is just letting her imagination get the best of her, but she does manage to convince her older sister Attina to join her. The question is, of course...did something really happen to her teacher, or is Ariel just caught up in a story?
