Invisible Widow

Following the death of my former husband to a fatal heart attack less than two years after our divorce - with the hopes that he would seek therapy, we would reconcile and live happily ever after, I must have read every book out there on grief/bereavement/mourning - searching for someone who knew how I felt. I didn't feel divorced and every fiber of my being felt like I was a widow after 20 years of marriage, but because of a piece of paper, society didn't recognize it. I kept thinking if 50 % of all marriages end in divorce, why am I having so much trouble finding validation for my feelings, This book was recommended through another book on grief. It is about all the people of society who grieve and are unacknowledged. It is a wonderful "layman's" book even if it is a textbook. All therapists shuld be required to read it.
