#1 Marriage Manual(s)

I consider this - and its companion book, Discovering the Mind of a Woman, the "Best" of all the books of this genre. I heard Ken speak in person - which is why I originally purchased his books! - and have shared my copies and recommended them to others through the years. Most of the (good) "popular" authors and speakers on the topic of getting along with the opposite sex in general, and marriage in particular, seem to have gotten their "source material" from Ken.

If you love truth, and want a great marriage. Your wife will thank you.

Life changing, for both of us! This book confronts traditional church submission....with a real Biblical view that requires both people in a marriage to accountability and then maturity. If you have read every thing else and it is not working, this may be your book. Although you do need the companion....Discovering the mind of a woman.

Life Changing

Ladies read this while your husband is reading Discovering the Mind of a Woman, then trade, you both need to read each book! This one is available at www[dot]lifepartners[dot]com This book helps you understand your husband, I especially liked the chapter "Understanding The Mechanical Man." It helps you become the Helpmeet that your husband needs and Christ requires you to be.

Really helped us : )

Highly recommend both spouses read Nair's books together. We shared notes weekly as we read one chapter a week. Nair attacks some foundational church teachings that are NOT biblical like if the wife 'just submits and obeys' everything will be okay, and that women will 'always strive to rule over their husbands,' because it is their nature from sin. WRONG. Nair takes the reader through the passages and explains God's design for a godly marriage - much better than the previous model! He teaches Biblical MUTUAL submission (looks different for each gender) one to another. I disagree with the negative post below. Nair doesn't 'empower' a wife to nag - he does encouage her to (kindly) encouage her husband to understand her, so he can better love her. He gives ideas for doing this, too. His book for husbands revolutionalized my own husband. It is AMAZING to be married (after 15 years of Christian marriage, and a decent one) to a man who loves me like Christ loved His Bride! Submission becomes a non-issue when a man loves you this way :o) We thank God for Nair's books.

Discovering the Heart of a Man

This is a FANTASTIC book. What a great compliment to the Discovering the Mind of a Woman. There are so many guys out there; that want to "appear" macho & are afraid to read such books as there. Some guys that read these books; want to bash the authors. America needs more men that are sensative to their wife's needs & being more sensative to meeting their needs. I have learned over years of marriage to the same person; that the wife will change for REAL; once she see's the husband's willingness to change & submit to a higher authority. We as guys need other men to hold us accountable, we cannot do this on our own, we get too big headed thinking in our own power. The write up by Richard G. Gitschlag "rgitschlag" was very disturbing. He really needs to seek a better & more challenging relationships with tough guys that like the wildreness & love their wives more then themselves. If he cannot understand what exactly is the representation of Christ symbolizing his love for the church by dying for the sins of the world as an example of husbands needng to be willing to die for their wives (dying to our ways first, not just the "litteral sense)....he needs to spend his attention elsewhere(the bible, not just books)to achieve a better understanding & not just a SELFISH opinion. I am grateful for Ken Nair taking such a chance by writing such books; they SAVE MARRIAGES if REAL MEN are willing to love their wives they way they should. Many times in life children are shown a bad example of how wives are getting treated by their husbands. ~fred
