Loved it!

I loved this book. This is volume 2 of the series, the first one being: "Remembering Isaac--The Wise ad Joyful Potter of Niederbipp." These books are about how the people of Niederbipp, Pennsylvania, had their individual lives touched by the town potter, Isaac. It is told from the point of view of Jake, a young man who is offered the job of town potter after Isaac dies, and is about the people he meets in this small town. There is even a very sweet romance that develops. There's a real feeling of joy and peace in these books. They are very uplifting and thoughtful. It is definitely not a waste of time to read this! I can hardly wait for the next volume.

sequel doesn't disappoint

After reading the first book, Remembering Isaac, I was anxious to read this book. I drove to where the author, who is also a potter, was doing a pottery show to pick up the second book. I read it in a couple of days. It was as good if not better than the first. The author has a way to make you fall in love with the characters and the town of Niederbipp. The books makes you want to be a better person. I highly recommend this book as well as Remembering Isaac.

Another winner!

Ben, you did it again. What an incredible story you are weaving with wonderful characters. I wish I lived in Niederbipp. We learn so much about the way we should be treating each other and how to become better people. Please hurry with Becoming Isaac, I can hardly wait. And I agree with the other review, keep writing, what an inspiration you are.

This book was so great! I loved "Remembering Isaac"! I couldn't put that one down, but this one I felt was even better! I loved that it just picked right up where "Remembering Isaac" left off. I felt like I was right in Niederbipp living through the story with the characters. I couldn't put it down. The only real problem is... I NEED THE THIRD BOOK IN THE SERIES NOW! So, Hurry up Ben Behunin! Get writing, so I can read what is going to happen next! I feel like I am sitting on the edge of my seat to find out what drama and wonderful things will happen next! Thank you for writing such a wonderful series! Please keep writing, even after you finish this series!

More wisdom

After being sucked into Remembering Isaac and devouring it in a couple of days, I had to buy Discovering Isaac to continue my 'fix'. Like the first book I was pleased how real each character was and felt like I have run across many of them throughout my life. I'm amazed at how well the author weaves thoughts and dialog between characters and find myself wishing I had such wisdom. Having my own daughter married this last summer, I wish I had read the wisdom on page 119 so I could have used the same words Isaac had spoken to him. I'm sure I'll be borrowing that phrase as my other daughters bring home young men for my wife and I to meet. The conclusion of this book was very well done, didn't see it coming. Now the only problem is I can't continue with the rest of the story because the third book is not done yet! Hurry up Ben! Anxiously waiting...
