When a child struggles to learn things, it could be a sign of a learning disorder. Blame or punishments only make things worse. My daughter, Chloe, was often victimised for failing to follow instructions, until it was medically established that she has impaired short term memory (ability to store information) and impaired working memory (ability to make sense of things said to her). She was not disobedient or neglectful. Far from it.
Chloe has progressed on many fronts and is well on her way to achieve her personal potential, thanks to tailored techniques recommended by Special needs experts in the UK. The resources created under "Watch Me Blossom", are inspired by those used to support Chloe, and are intended for parents who have no support for Special children locally, and private services are financially prohibitive.
Children with disabilities have the same needs and aspirations as everyone else, but they suffer from stigma, shunned by their own, rejected by schools, and discriminated in all aspects of life. It is our purpose to fight for their dignity and inclusion, as equal members of society. This diversity would benefit all of mankind, as Special Children have their own unique gifts that can transform the world. We will achieve this through education, as well as providing practical tools to unleash their potential. Visit our YouTube channel or Website for more resources.
"Discover Me" provides a structured "thinking framework" to help parents discover how their child learns new skills, in order to enable them design tailored learning solutions for their child.
TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE SPECIAL CHILDREN BLOSSOM!
