Great Story !!

This series is for all ages. I definitely would recommend if your looking for a fun yet heartfelt series to read as a family or on your own!!

I absolutely love this series!

I’m 16 and yet I am intrigued by these books! I can’t put them down! I highly suggest them! I love how they implement God in each book! History is also a great part of this series! I learned things I never knew before!

You'll Love These!

If you are looking for something for your child to read that will teach them something good and healthy about life and about God...something that will entertain them...and something that does not in any way encourage bad attitudes in the characters...this is a great series! The Riverboat Series is also very very good. I have read these with my kids more than once!

Books by Lois Walfrid Johnson

I am 11 years old and home-schooled. I LOVED all Ms. Johnson's books! I have read them all and I believe we have all the ones out except for one. All of them are great! The girls in her series are: Libby, Kate, and Bree. My younger sisters (8 and 9) are reading them and love them too! I really like how all the girls have faith in God. I cannot explain how good these books are! Thank you so much, Ms. Johnson! These books have really inspired me! Soli Deo Gloria!

Goooooood

Heya!! I LOVE this book. I am 12 and I just started the series about a week ago. I learened about them from a friend and I just finished the third book. I love the story and I think if you think it is boring you are CRAZZY!!!!! Really I mean It.

Good historical fiction with a touch of mystery.

It's been a year since her father died in a construction accident, and since then, twelve-year-old Kate O'Connell and her mother have struggled to make do on their own, not an easy thing in 1906 Minneapolis. It's a struggle just to have enough money for food and rent, and Kate can see how sad and lonely her mother is, so she asks their pastor to help find a new husband for her mother. But the man he finds, Mr. Nordstrom, a widower, lives on a farm in the Wisconsin wilderness. Kate doesn't want to leave her friends and her life in the city to live in the woods! But her mother and Mr. Nordstrom marry, and Kate has to go live in Wisconsin. Although she loves her new little stepsister, her stepbrothers, especially twelve-year-old Anders, torment her, and she doesn't fit in at school. And mysterious things are happening on the farm, and she catches glimpses of a stranger in the woods. Can Kate learn to love her new family, and solve the mystery of the stranger's identity? This book was slow-moving at the beginning, but it eventually picked up. Young readers who enjoy historical fiction with a touch of mystery will probably enjoy it, and it has a nice message about family and a unique historical setting. However, I wouldn't say it's a must-read. I will most likely try some other books in this series to see how they are.

Wonderful exciting series

At first when I started Adventures of the Northwoods, I got bored after the first chapter and put it down. Then, 1 or 2 years later I picked it up again and read the whole series in a week. I think this series is a lot of fun and some things in it you can really relate to in real life. I really recomend this book and series to other kids like me. Also, when your done with this series, you should read The Riverboat Adventures also by Lois Walfrid Johnson.
