This is an amazing story with plenty of mystery and romance. There is a good twist because the FBI agent is a woman, Meredith McKay and her agency has sent her to a small, Arizona town where her former friend Jayce McDermott, is an archaeologist accused of murder and maybe drug dealing as well as thefts of artifacts. These authors explained the Indian customs in an intriguing way and I found myself unable to put the book aside because I had to know what was going to happen next. I wondered many times if the murderer was the sheriff or his assistant. Other times I wondered if Jayce was really the one who had committed the crimes. If it wasn't him, then maybe someone in the local Hopi Indian clan was the guilty party. Besides being a good mystery and a great romance story these woman taught many things about the Hopi Indians and their beliefs. I enjoyed the good history lesson they wove in without you suspecting a thing. This was definitely a good read. Martha's Freedom Train
