A picture book for the very young that celebrates a child's excitement for construction vehicles "Honk the horn Flash the lights Scoop the rocks Push the mud " A little boy imagines driving a great big digger-scooping and pushing mud to make a playground for his baby brother. Children are fascinated with bulldozers, backhoes, payloaders-diggers of all shapes and sizes. In this playful picture book, simple alliterative language and bold, colorful images capture a child's love of building and creating.
We got this book at the library and my 3 year old boy loved it nearly to pieces. I am looking into getting one he can keep, or maybe giving the library the new one and having him keep the torn and taped one! He has it memorized and "reads" it over and over to himself and his little sister. This book not only fascinates the little "digger men" that like to read it, but also teaches values such as hard work, good maintenance, productivity, and taking care of little brother. Your own little "digger man" will be sure to love it.
Loved by my own Digger Man

My 2 1/2 year old has every truck/construction book published, I think. This is one of his favorites. He loves to finish the sentences. We recommend this to all the truck-loving readers out there!

I bought this book for my son who is 19 months. He has a baby brother who is 6 months old and he is very much fascinated with big machines. It's a cute story about a little boy who dreams of buying a digger. The little boy has a baby brother who he imagines will watch him while he operates his digger and maybe even take a ride with him while he works. They will push mud, dig holes and make parks with the digger. The drawings are cute and the story line simple but for toddlers it's perfect.
My 3 Year Old Loves It!

This book is great for your little truck lover. It's perfect for my sons short attention span. Great pictures and concise wording. The boy in the book dreams of buying his own digger some day and even takes his little brother along for a ride, in our case I substitute sister. Highly recommend.
Great Toddler Book

My almost two-year old son loves this book!!! It is short, easy to read and has great pictures. He has the book memorized and sometimes we just look at the pictures and discuss them. He has always loved construction equipment and big trucks and this is right on his level. The boy in the book has a little brother and it would probably be a good book for someone expecting a second child.
