Substance and gentle humor

I like how Meg addresses difficult topics. This is not a laugh-out-loud book. It takes tough topics and puts a gentle spin on them that leaves you smiling.

Philosophical Fun

UU Minister Meg Barnhart has written a great little book that'll make you laugh out loud as you ponder some of the interesting philosophical questions she tackles. To me, one of the finest aspects of her writing is to recognize some of my own strange ponderings within her thoughts. Of course, she's much better at writing them into cohesive epistles than I would be. This is a great book to give to a friend who's liberal, likes to laugh, and/or thinks about our place in the world. Knowing that all this comes from a liberal thinker from South Carolina makes it just more thrilling to me. I was afraid liberals would not have a voice there.
